Patient Rights and Safety Practices
I maintain expertise in patient safety practices, including the use of restraints and seclusion, screening of patients at risk for harm, environmental safety assessments with ligature risk assessment, implementing processes and procedures for honoring patients' rights, and more. I also aid leadership with strategies for harm mitigation and monitoring staff practices related to patient rights and safety.

Policy and Procedure Review & Development
I comprehensively evaluate existing policies and procedures to ensure they are effective, compliant with current regulations, and aligned with the organization's goals and values. Strong policies are essential for maintaining high standards of patient care, operational efficiency, organization protection, and regulatory compliance.

Collaboration and Support
In healthcare, it seems there's never enough time, energy, or resources to complete the work required of healthcare leaders and teams, and often, only a little bit of assistance is all that's needed to make a big difference. ​Utilize my knowledge and experience to enhance operational efficiency by analyzing workflows, staffing, resource allocation, and patient care protocols to identify areas for improvement. The goal is to optimize productivity while maintaining high standards of patient care.
I also may function in temporary or part-time capacities to fill in the gaps or assist clinicians and teams with time-consuming tasks such as quality reviews, adverse event investigations and reviews, data gathering/reporting, policy development and management, development of education and training, and more.

Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation Survey Preparedness
I perform comprehensive gap analyses and mock surveys to ensure that healthcare facilities meet all local, state, and federal regulations. This includes staying up-to-date with new healthcare laws, standards of accrediting organizations, and codes of federal regulation. I then identify solutions to aid organizations in meeting and sustaining compliance.

Post-Survey Mitigation and Plans of Correction
I assist organizations with writing Plans of Correction, including coming into immediate compliance after Immediate Jeopardy, Conditions of Participation, and deficiency citations. I help the organizations identify solutions, strategies and measures for sustaining improvement and compliance post-survey.

Quality Improvement/Program Development and Implementation
I assist organizations with implementing quality improvement initiatives that promote patient safety, reduce risks, and enhance care outcomes. This often involves data analysis, performance metrics, and evidence-based practices to foster quality care delivery and continuous improvement. I offer my services to aid organizations in writing and implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Plan that is meaningful and actionable for the organization while meeting all regulatory requirements for compliance.
